Drugs. A 29-year-old Edina man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on the 7200 block of York Avenue S.
Public intoxication. Officers responded to the 7600 block of Edinborough Way regarding a report of an intoxicated person. A 21-year-old Chanhassen woman was arrested for obstructing the legal process and disorderly conduct.
Alcohol violation. Officers responded to the 4900 block of Eden Avenue regarding an unwanted guest. A 61-year-old Edina man was arrested for giving a false name to police and unauthorized liquor consumption.
Animal complaint. Officers responded to County Road 11 and County Road Line regarding a loose pig in the road. Officers located the pig, which began trotting to the officer when he called out, “Here, pig.” The pig followed the officer as he walked to the owner’s farm. The owner arrived and assisted with coaxing “Paprika” to her pen.
Theft. Five gnome statues, valued at $1,200, were stolen from the yard of a home on the 3000 block of Lake Haughey Road. The rare statutes were three feet tall and weighed about 200 pounds.
Driving violation. A 16-year-old Big Lake boy was cited for failure to drive with due care after he reportedly admitted to driving with a fogged-over windshield and striking a parked vehicle.
Drunken driving. Officers responded to the 5100 block of County Road 15 regarding a rollover crash involving two vehicles. A 21-year-old Mound woman was arrested for drunken driving.
Underage consumption. Officers responded to the 4300 block of Zachary Lane regarding intoxicated minors. An 18-year-old New Hope woman, an 18-year-old Plymouth man and a 19-year-old New Hope woman were cited for underage consumption of alcohol.
Robbery. Officers responded to a reported assault in the 7600 block of 17th Avenue S. It was later determined to be a robbery. Four males allegedly took about $240 from a male victim.
Assault. Officers responded to 5th Avenue S. and 71st Street E. regarding a fight. A 31-year-old Richfield man was arrested for assault.
Drunken driving. A 33-year-old Minneapolis woman was arrested for drunken driving after hitting a curb and almost striking a group of pedestrians.
Fraud. Officers responded to a home on the 7600 block of Penn Avenue S. regarding a theft by swindle. A woman purchased a puppy online, for $1,450, and never received the puppy.
Drugs. A 20-year-old Mayer man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 1st Street W. and Olive Street S.
