North St. Paul, Minn.
David grew up in the west 7th Street area of St.Paul and went to Homecroft grade school at Sheridan and Edgecombe Rd (St. Paul). He graduated from Monroe High School in 1955. In January 1956 David joined the U.S Army and had basic training at Fort Chafee, Ark. He then went to Fort Gordon, Ga., for signal Battalion training and was shipped over to Darmstadt Germany. He was with the 32nd signal battalion as a radio-teletype operator and got discharged from the Army at Fort Sheridan, Ill., in February 1959. David started his first weather station in North St.Paul at 2064 N. McKnight Rd. in 1962. He started working at Northern States Power Company in 1960 worked there until he retired in September 1996.
