The morning started off beautiful with a shining full moon.  It was amazing to look out my windows and see the sun coming up in the east and the moon setting in the west.  What a great way to start the day!  As the day went on, however, the clouds moved in and the rain fell.  I wouldn't mind it so much if October would not have been so cloudy!  The weather might be typical of fall in Minnesota, but I already miss the summer sun and warmth.  It has been a busy week at our house.  In a matter of a couple of hours last Tuesday evening I moved in an exchange student from Korea.  Her host mom has been ill for the last month and decided she could not keep Kay.  Kay now lives with us and I will be learning a lot about Korea.  She definitely does not like the cold.  I was also fortunate enough to spend the weekend in Aberdeen, South Dakota with my son and his family.  It was fun to help with trick or treating with my two granddaughters who were a princess and a skunk.  The weather there was sunny and warm.  A really nice Halloween night.  The couple of nice days has allowed farmers in the area to remove some of their crops.  It has been a stressful fall for them as they have a lot invested in their crops and now it is difficult for them to harvest them.  The forecast is for a much warmer weekend so hopefully the forecast will stay so they can finishing the harvesting.
