As gloomy as it was again this morning, I picked out the brightest tie I own.
The effect was magical!
"Nice, sunny tie!" said one co-worker.
"I love that bright tie," said a woman in the cafeteria.
"Wow, that's a great tie!" said the clerk at city hall.
"Gotta wear one on a day like this," said a fellow standing in line with me, whose own tie rivaled mine in intensity.
I never thought the tie was that bright. I think we've all just lost a lot of our light sensitivity under this chronic cloud cover that's lasted most of this month.
