If you thought this July was colder then usual, you are correct. I looked back over the last 3 years (that is all I have from my weather station) and I found a cooling trend. The Average temperature for July of 2007 was 71 degrees. There was a slight drop to 69 degrees for July of 2008 and a significant drop to 63.2 degrees for July 2009. That is a drop of almost 8 degrees in 3 years. This now has me wondering what this winter will be like. To me, last winter was like I remember them when I growing up. Snow was on the ground most of the winter and we had a low air temp of -35 with a windchill of -50. Will this winter be colder still. It sure looks like it could be if we continue in the direction we are currently heading. I am anxious to see what August holds for us.

I will keep you posted.
