A storm will drop southeastward from the Pacific Northwest on Saturday and strengthen as it tracks through the Rockies. As cold air arrives from the north, snow will break out from southwestern Montana to northern Colorado on Saturday.
The storm will intensify as it pushes into the southern High Plains by Sunday, leading to a period of heavier snow and gusty winds from Colorado to western Kansas and eventually down into the northern Texas panhandle.
Road conditions and visibility will deteriorate quickly from northwest to southeast across this region as we progress through the weekend.
Major airport delays and possible cancellations should be anticipated at Denver International Saturday night and into Sunday.
