Texas, Far from Ida, Will Start Off Week Dry

Last update: November 8, 2009 - 2:25 PM

The bulk of the foul weather linked to Ida will track away to the east of Texas during the early week. True, there will be some rain into Monday in upper coastal Texas, eastward from Houston. But a dry steering flow from the west will tend to dominate that weather in and about the Lone Star State.

From Dallas-Fort Worth south to the Hill Country, also north of the Red River to Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla., partial sunshine and high temperatures ranging through the 70s will be presented Monday. The ever-warmer South Texas will see plenty of 80s on its Monday afternoon thermometers.
