California and the Southwest will enjoy a dry and sunny weekend day today.
While an approaching storm brings a bit of rain and mountain snow to the Pacific Northwest, the jet stream will hold the wet weather to the north. A few clouds will still filter down into northern California and northern Nevada, but for the most part areas farther south will enjoy a day of warm sunshine.
Temperatures will remain close to seasonable levels in California today, with thermometers reading in the 60s for most. Southern California and the Desert Southwest will warm to slightly above normal.
