High pressure sitting over the mid-Atlantic will pump warm air throughout the Northeast today. Temperatures will soar into the 60s as far north as southern Maine, where highs typically hover in the low 50s.
Bright sunshine will accompany the warmth, providing a pleasant day to head outdoors. Those planning on doing any yard work may be able to get away with leaving the sweatshirt inside. The unusual warmth will stick around early this week, but another big cool shot is expected to arrive by midweek.
