Friday, broke record highs on the Plains. Then it lofted temperatures into the 60s and 70s throughout the recently chilly Midwest on Saturday. It would be a substantial warming which next target will be the Eastern Seaboard.
Temperatures Sunday will rise well into the 60s throughout the mid-Atlantic along with much of New York and the southern two-thirds of New England. From Washington, D.C., to Boston, I-95 highs will be in the mid-60s to near 70 degrees with 70s being widespread over Virginia.
High pressure slipping out to sea nearby will be well situated to afford more relatively warm weather on Monday and even Tuesday awaiting a cold front from the west.
