Before adverse weather from the tropics arrive, high pressure will provide delightful weather across the South on Saturday. The day will start on a cool note east of the Mississippi River, but afternoon temperatures will pleasantly warm. Highs across the South are expected to rise into the 70s. Most of the Carolinas will be the exception with highs in the 60s. South Florida will warm into the 80s, but a shower will dampen areas towards the Keys.
For those planning to head to the beaches along Florida's east coast or the western Gulf Coast, be advised that the danger for rip currents will be high on Saturday.
