This storm stayed pretty harmless crossing the northeastern United States, but now it's juicing up over the warm water of the Gulf Stream.
By midday Friday, the storm will be quite formidable, producing high winds, rain and snow across a sizable portion of Atlantic Canada. The worst of the storm will be felt from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland. New Brunswick and points north will get off easy this time.
Snow accumulation is possible right to the coast in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Friday, but significant accumulations are more likely to occur through the interior of the province. A heavy snowfall is likely in Newfoundland Friday afternoon into early Saturday.
