Bundle Up for Yankees Parade

Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday night. The Yankees and their fans will celebrate with a ticker-tape parade on Friday.
The Associated Press reports the parade will start at 11 a.m. EST on Broadway at Battery Place. The parade will continue northbound up the Canyon of Heroes to City Hall Plaza. Mayor Michael Bloomberg will then present the Yankees with keys to the city.
Be sure to bundle up if you plan to head to the parade. The temperature will be a chilly 44 degrees at the start of the celebration. AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures will be held to the mid-30s as brisk northwest winds blow.
Do not worry about bringing an umbrella to the parade. Dry weather will prevail as clouds mix with sunshine.

Who Has the Rain? - Seattle, Wash., has had over 5 inches of rain this month. Astoria, Ore., right on the coast, has received over 10 inches thus far. This in marked contrast to what has fallen farther south. San Francisco has had a mere 0.01 of an inch which is very unusual for that location. In Los Angeles, there hasn't been a drop of rain since Oct. 16! Persistent high pressure over the intermountain region has blocked Pacific storms from coming into California with the main storm track directed at the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia.
