A week ago, the top story was the big snowstorm in Colorado and Wyoming. This week that part of the country is being treated to some magnificent weather featuring temperatures in the 50s and 60s.
I guess one would call that a spell of Indian Summer weather. By definition, Indian Summer is considered to be any major warmup after the first hard freeze.
The warm wave will cover the entire intermountain region Wednesday and will expand across the Great Plains Thursday and Friday. Watch for the temperature to approach 70 as far north as Pierre, S.D., Friday afternoon.
