Every team has needs every offseason, some subtler than others, but the Vikings' biggest needs were magnified as they lost eight of 10 games to plummet out of the playoff picture. Their top priority this offseason will obviously be rebuilding that offensive line. They have a few other areas to worry about, too.
Offensive tackle
A case could be made for this position occupying the top two or three spots on this list, but we'll limit it to one. They must upgrade at both left and right tackle, with an eye toward long-term fixes.
Offensive guard
Alex Boone, their big-money free-agent addition last offseason, solidified the left guard position and will be around through at least next season. Now, they need to find a new starter at right guard.
Running back
Even if the Vikings do decide to hang on to Adrian Peterson, they must find their ball carrier of the future in the draft. It did not look this season like Jerick McKinnon is capable of doing it alone.
Defensive tackle
With injury-prone Sharrif Floyd a potential cut after failing to deliver on his first-round promise, the Vikings must give coach Mike Zimmer a penetrating three-technique who can play in all situations.
Quarterback
Teddy Bridgewater is trying to work his way back from a devastating knee injury and Sam Bradford is entering the final year of his contract, so the Vikings would be wise to draft and develop another passer.
Linebacker
Veteran Chad Greenway is probably going to retire and middle linebacker Eric Kendricks might fit best at Greenway's weak-side linebacker spot in the base defense. So the Vikings could bring in someone new in the middle.
