The Vegas Golden Knights signed forward Alex Tuch to a $33.25 million, seven-year extension with an annual salary cap hit of $4.75 million.

General Manager George McPhee announced the contract. Tuch, 22, is now signed through the 2025-26 season.

Tuch was the 18th overall pick in the 2014 draft by the Wild. He was dealt to Vegas last year on the condition that the Golden Knights select Erik Haula off the Wild roster in the expansion draft.

Tuch had 37 points on 15 goals and 22 assists last season, then had 10 points on six goals and four assists in 20 playoff games as Vegas reached the Stanley Cup Final in its inaugural season.

Florida 6, Washington 5 (SO): Jonathan Huberdeau had a goal, two assists and the shootout winner as the Panthers recovered after giving up a three-goal lead in the second period and beat the host Capitals for their first victory of the season.

Nashville 5, Calgary 3: Zac Rinaldo scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period as the visiting Predators won their fourth in a row.
