Remember the time

Any objections Paris Jackson had to past biopics about her father will most likely be quelled by "Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland," a highly sympathetic take on the King of Pop's final months, seen through the eyes of his loyal bodyguards. Navi, a world-renowned impersonator, certainly looks the part, but the movie would have been just as well off animating a wax figure from Madame Tussauds.

The docuseries "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath," which started as a crusade, is now a big enough hit to justify a two-hour special, "Merchant of Fear," in which guests share their experiences with the Church of Scientology.

Parting is such sweet sorrow

Executive producer Shonda Rhimes deserves props for trying to serve her loyalists a take on "Romeo and Juliet," but when your main characters — spoiler alert! — croak before the first episode of "Still Star-Crossed" is over, you've got trouble. Wooden dialogue and bloodlines that would give Henry Louis Gates Jr. a migraine don't help.
