Welcome to the jungle

None of the siblings have to escape a rolling boulder in "Legends of the Hidden Temple," but youngsters looking for Indiana Jones-inspired action may enjoy this lightweight adventure based on Nickelodeon's '90s game show. Terms of endearment

Either some very familiar faces are desperate for work or the Hallmark Channel is looking more inviting than ever. Since it's the holidays, I'll assume the latter explains how "A Heavenly Christmas" recruited Eric McCormack ("Will & Grace"), Kristin Davis ("Sex and the City") and Shirley MacLaine to play in its modern-day twist on "The Christmas Carol." And before you make too big a deal of snagging MacLaine, consider this: She is the 65th Oscar winner to appear in a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie since the franchise was launched 65 years ago.

Not necessarily the news

Of all the "Weekend Update" anchors in the history of "Saturday Night Live," Michael Che may be the most disgusted. While his current desk mate Colin Just plays it close to the vest, the former "Daily Show" correspondent does little to mask his frustration while ticking off the headlines. That level of outrage will be even more on display in "Michael Che Matters," a new stand-up special in which the promising young comic tackles homophobia, inequality and gentrification.
