Lawn-care workshop

Beneath all that snow on our lawns there's still grass. Eventually it will need to be cared for, so why not get prepared with guidance from experts during a free turf workshop at Gertens. Learn how to grow a lush and weed-free lawn, including information on seeding, fertilizing, weed control and proper watering. Grilling season is also just around the corner, and Gertens is offering grilling demonstrations, with tips on how to expertly grill meats and accompaniments, using the wood-fire flavor of the Traegar and the precise cooking ability of the Big Green Egg. Gather and plant

Arbor Day is April 27, so Tangletown Gardens will feature a three-day event to honor trees. Stop in and view the unique tree varieties the garden center has to offer.
