On Feb. 19, sixteen diners with $100 will be placing themselves in very good hands at the Lowry Hill Meats, the must-visit new butcher shop at Hennepin and Franklin avenues in south Minneapolis.

Butcher/co-owner Erik Sather has invited his next-door neighbors (and former Bar La Grassa colleagues) at Burch Steak and Pizza Bar – chefs Isaac Becker, Daniel del Prado and pastry chef Shawn McKenzie – to join him for a one-time-only pop-up event in the form of a five-course dinner.

(That's del Prado, Becker and Sather, above).

"I'm not really a pop-up guy," said Becker with a laugh. But it's with my old pals Erik and Danny so I think it's going to be fun." The James Beard award-winner paused for a moment. "First brunch [which the famously anti-brunch chef launched at Burch last fall], and now a pop-up," he said. "It must be a mid-life crisis."

The evening starts at 7 p.m. Reservations, which include wines, are available by calling Lowry Hill Meats at 612-999-4200.
