The announcements of the 70th Annual Emmy Nominations comes with many questions: Will "GLOW" challenge "Atlanta" in the comedy categories? Will Minnesotan Louie Anderson make it three in a row for his stellar work in "Baskets"? Will "Roseanne" get any love? And will Michael Che, who is co-hosting the actual award show with "SNL" buddy Colin Jost, crack any comments when he performs Thursday night at the Pantages Theatre? Stay tuned.

Respect for hip-hop has grown to the point that the documentary world is taking notice. The latest, "G Funk," looks at the influence of Warren G through the words and memories of the acclaimed producer, as well as Snoop Dogg, Chuck D, Ice Cube and Wiz Khalifa.

"Carnival Kings" is just launching its first season, so it's understandable why Michelin-starred chef Richie Farina isn't challenging any food vendors at the Minnesota State Fair in early episodes. If Farina, best known for incorporating science into his customers' diets, has any guts, he'll consider these outings to Arizona, California and Nevada as simply an appetizer to the real thing in the Twin Cities.
