Cruel to be kind

Fans of "Broad City" and "Difficult People" will get a kick out of "Alone Together," another stellar example of how much naughty fun can be mined from men and women behaving badly. Stars Benji Aflalo and Esther Povitsky may look like teens, but they are very much adults, even as they engage in childish behavior like pretending to be an escort or playing on the emotions on a self-mocking Denise Richards. This is the kind of company you want to keep, but only when separated by a TV screen.

Alright, alright, alright

Matthew McConaughey isn't the only charmer in the family. The reality series "Rooster & Butch" features brother Mike McConaughey and his partner Butch Gilliam as they contemplate new business ventures with the same sly Southern strategy the Dukes of Hazzard used to outwit Boss Hogg. Some of their deal-making feels a little too tailor-made for the cameras, but Matt's older brother and company are charismatic enough to make any con jobs stick.

Becoming the boss

Hollywood's fascination with Winston Churchill didn't just start with "The Crown" and "Darkest Hour." The 1972 film "Young Winston," Richard Attenborough's second outing as a director, features Simon Ward in the title role, relating the diplomat's years as a war correspondent and as a candidate for Parliament.
