Mondays and Tuesdays throughout July, Turner Classic Movies is taking viewers on a vacation tour of “50 States in 50 Movies,” kicking off with the Maine coast in 1959’s steamy potboiler “A Summer Place.” Nothing says summer like Troy Donahue and Sandra Dee.

Porno for pyros
You haven’t seen fireworks until you’ve seen Mexico’s National Pyrotechnic Festival. The documentary “Brimstone & Glory” brings us to Tultepec — a village that’s essentially a company town for the pyrotechnics business — for what’s billed as a “caution-free” 10-day event celebrating San Juan de Dios, the patron saint of fireworks makers.

Nick nostalgia
Back in the late 1980s, the game show “Double Dare” made Nickelodeon a force in kids’ TV. Now the network has revived the show, with YouTube-launched comedian Liza Koshy as host, and guest stars from Nick’s past, including Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell and Jamie Lynn Spears.
