If all you want for Christmas is to get rid of some zits, you’ll want to make an appointment with “Dr. Pimple Popper: The 12 Pops of Christmas,” a holiday special featuring Dr. Sandra Lee, one of reality TV’s most unlikely stars, as she helps her patients with the gift of clearer skin.

Ken Jeong is working overtime to help us forget his ill-advised ABC sitcom, “Dr. Ken.” In addition to stealing numerous scenes in “Crazy Rich Asians,” he’s hosting “Ken Jeong Cracks Christmas,” a new special in which the comic actor auditions for “The Nutcracker,” tries harmonizing with L.A.’s Gay Men’s Chorus and negotiates how to sit on Santa’s knee.

“The Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Award” isn’t as star-packed as the ESPYs, but it’s got plenty of heart thanks to a heavy emphasis on athletes who inspire their fans. Case in point: The 2017 winners were the Houston Texans’ J.J. Watt and the Houston Astros’ Jose Altuve, celebrated as much for giving back to community in the wake of Hurricane Harvey as for their accomplishments in uniform.
