My fair Lady Lady Gaga is sure to push the boundaries, even by pay-cable standards, in "The Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden" (8 p.m. Saturday, HBO), a concert taped in February in her hometown, New York City. The five-time Grammy winner will showcase the music and mayhem -- and hopefully the meat dress -- that have made her an international star.
Blame it on Rio The greatest challenge facing the final four teams in the two-hour season closer of "The Amazing Race" (7 p.m. Sunday, WCCO, Ch. 4) is resisting the urge to give up on the silly contest and give in to the charms of Rio de Janeiro, their next-to-last stop. Personally, a cocktail on the beach seems a lot more enticing than a $1 million prize, which is precisely why I'll never be invited on a reality-competition series.
Grill masters How does Famous Dave's stack up against the rest of the country's BBQ? Find out when our own "Famous Dave" Anderson takes on five of the country's best in a new reality series, "Best in Smoke" (9 p.m. Sunday, Food). Anderson will compete in multiple challenges, with the winner earning a cool $50,000. Mitchell Davis, vice president of the James Beard Foundation, is among the drooling judges.
Come on over Oprah Winfrey's underwhelming network finally strikes a chord with "Why Not? With Shania Twain" (10 p.m. Sunday, OWN). Yes, the heart of this reality series is a woe-is-me tale about Twain losing both her husband and her voice, but the country star is so darn likable and down-to-Earth that you can't help but root for both her and the series.
