Getting stuck in Twin Cities traffic is most likely to occur on Tuesday mornings and Thursday evenings, according to the 2014 Traffic Index put out Tuesday by the Dutch mapmaking and navigation company, TomTom.

The best times to commute were Friday mornings and Monday evenings, according to the study of 146 cities worldwide.

Minneapolis-St. Paul ranked No. 35 of the 53 U.S. cities in the index. Los Angeles was the most congested in the U.S., followed by San Francisco, Honolulu, New York and Seattle. The top 10 included San Jose, Miami, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Portland. The least congested was Kansas City.

Most congested worldwide was Istanbul followed by Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Moscow and Salvador, Brazil.
