John Kline

John Kline

Kline, of Lakeville, was elected to Congress on his third try in 2002, unseating Democrat Bill Luther. His dogged pursuit of the office followed a 25-year career in the Marines. He is a reliable conservative voice and vote with a special interest and expertise in military matters. His style tends to be formal and dignified. Having won re-election twice, Kline appears well-entrenched in the Republican-leaning Second District.
