The sweetness of a 5-0 start for the Vikings was quickly forgotten when the 2016 season was soured by bitter losses en route to an 8-8 finish.

It’s a lingering bad taste that’s hard to wash away, but hopefully the process has already begun with free agency and the draft around the corner.
