Five tech companies have been named finalists in the first AgePower Tech Search competition sponsored by Mojo Minnesota and Ecumen, a nonprofit senior housing and services company.

The goal is to find new high- and low-tech innovations that will have a positive impact on the aging experience and then give the winning company a real-life test environment and access to business and technology experts to aid the creation of a new venture. The judging will be on Jan. 21.

Ecumen, is one of the country's 20 largest nonprofit senior housing and services companies with more than 10,000 customers.
