Kathy Grayson at the Business Journal reports that the North Loop of Minneapolis is becoming an office hot spot for software startups.

She coins the phrase "Softwarehouse District":

Venture-backed startups, growing software firms and West Coast companies are increasingly gobbling up office space in the trendy neighborhood, drawn to its historic buildings, varied dining options and ample public transit. Those amenities make it easier to attract and retain high-demand tech talent, while also coming in handy for impressing out-of-town investors and clients, tech executives say.

Let the good times roll on Washington Avenue.
