VCU saw a jump in fundraising and campus projects after Norwood Teague was hired as athletic director in 2006:
Ram Athletic Fund: From 528 members in Teague's first year to 1,777 last year.
Total money raised: From $1.6 million in Teague's first year to $5.3 million last year. Projected to be $13 million this year.
Major projects: $4 million upgrade to VCU's multi-purpose arena and approval of a $10 million practice facility for basketball.
