Authorities arrested a suspect on Monday in Minneapolis in connection with a weekend shooting outside of a Maple Grove movie theater.
Cortez Quincy Foster, 23, of Brooklyn Park, who had been charged by warrant, was arrested hours after a police chase. No one was injured.
Around 2 p.m., police tried to stop a vehicle near 57th and Logan avenues N. in Brooklyn Center, but the vehicle took off for about five blocks until the driver crashed it in the 5200 block of Morgan Avenue N. and then fled, said Sgt. Steve Pastor of the Brooklyn Center police.
Several agencies, including the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, the State Patrol and the Minneapolis Police Department, narrowed the search to a home, Pastor said, where Foster was arrested at about 4:30.
On Saturday night, two men were shot in the parking lot of the AMC Arbor Lakes 16. The men were taken to North Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
