Then: This is a rematch of the Feb. 3, 2002, Super Bowl. That season, the plucky Patriots, led by second-year quarterback Tom Brady, won their first Super Bowl, 20-17, on Adam Vinatieri's 48-yard field goal as time expired. The Rams, then based in St. Louis, were two-touchdown favorites and boasted quarterback Kurt Warner and "The Greatest Show on Turf." Their coach was Mike Martz.

Now: Brady, 41, and coach Bill Belichick, 66, are still together. They are in the Super Bowl for the third straight time, for the fourth time in five seasons, and for the ninth time overall. … The Rams are back in Los Angeles (as of 2016), and at 32, Sean McVay will become the youngest Super Bowl coach in NFL history. At 24, Jared Goff became the youngest QB to win the NFC championship.
