Kyle Connor and Patrik Laine scored in the shootout, and the host Winnipeg Jets ended a three-game losing skid with a 1-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night.

Connor Hellebuyck made 28 saves, including stops on Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid in the shootout.

The Jets are undefeated in regulation in their past seven games against the Oilers (7-1-1).

Vancouver 3, N.Y. Rangers 2: Brock Boeser and Jay Beagle scored late in the Canucks' three-goal first period at Madison Square Garden, leading them to their fifth victory in six games. Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist appeared in his 861st NHL game, passing Hall of Famer Gump Worsley for sole possession of 11th place all-time.

Calgary 2, Anaheim 1: Mikael Backlund finished a 2-on-1 for the winning goal with 11:03 left in regulation for the visiting Flames.

Montreal 5, Chicago 3: Tom Wilson's goal broke a tie with 8:13 left, and helped the visiting Capitals beat the Blackhawks after blowing a two-goal lead. T.J. Oshie, Nic Dowd and Alex Ovechkin also scored for the Capitals, who got 41 saves from Braden Holtby.
