Other redesign content

The next few weeks will be an exciting time for everybody at the Star Tribune, as we introduce scores of changes to our newspaper and web site. Our editors' blog gives you an inside look at the unveiling process.

The most demanding job at the Star Tribune this past year has fallen to Monica Moses, a deputy managing editor in charge of the paper's remake. For months, she led a spirited and at times raucous debate about the future of this newspaper and its website.

The new Star Tribune bears only faint resemblance to its great-great-granddaddy, the Minneapolis Tribune, founded in May 1867 (only two years after the end of the Civil War). Readers then got their news from a few gray pages, with small headlines and no photos.

Just to show we aren't taking this all too seriously, and to inaugurate the fabulous new redesign, I thought I'd fabricate a few hypothetical questions about the new product and answer them in a way that makes us look good. The following is the opinion of the author, and does not necessarily reflect the views of the Star Tribune management. Also, very little here is true. Except for that parts that are.
