The Wolves and Kings are just finishing up warming up out on the Arco Arena court just now and it looks like the Wovles again will be without one of their backup point guard options.

Kurt Rambis calls shooting guard Wayne Ellington "doubtful" to play because of a bruised thigh he says he first injured when he was kneed in the season's second game against Milwaukee and then aggravated Sunday in Houston.

Without him, the Wolves again will have to go with backup Sebastian Telfair as starter because Luke Ridnour remains out with that bad hamstring. Mo Ager is the team's only other point guard option if Ellington can't play, although Michael Beasley said he'll play point if they need him.

That could change soon.

The Wolves worked out free agent point guards Curtis Jerrells, Trey Johnson, Sundiata Gaines and Aaron Miles together in a 90-minute session today in Sacramento, and almost will certainly sign one as insurance while they figure out when Ridnour and Jonny Flynn will return.

That decision on who'll they sign probably won't be made until after tonight's game or until tomorrow.

In his pre-game session with reporters, Rambis also made it sound like Flynn continues to experience soreness after he goes hard in practice, which suggests his return is still probably a couple weeks away.
