Preview: The Wolves will be without leading scorer and low-post presence Al Jefferson, who is out at least two games while tending to a family member's illness.

Players to watch: Nowitzki continues to be the focal point of the Dallas attack (26.1 ppg), but this year is joined in the frontcourt by All-Star Shawn Marion (13.7 points, 7.4 rebounds per game). Numbers: Since making 26 of 35 free throws in their season-opening victory over New Jersey, the Wolves are averaging only 12.6 free throws made (and 17.3 attempted).

Injuries: Wolves forward Kevin Love (hand) is out. ... For Dallas, forward Tim Thomas (right knee surgery) is out.
