• ATLANTA 125, DENVER 100: Josh Smith had 22 points, nine rebounds, six blocked shots and seven assists in the Hawks' victory over the Nuggets on Saturday night in Atlanta. The Hawks shot 52 percent. Carmelo Anthony had 30 points for the Nuggets as they lost their second in a row.

• BOSTON 86, NEW JERSEY 76: Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce each scored 16 points, and the Celtics bounced back from their first loss with a victory in East Rutherford, N.J.

• CHICAGO 93, CHARLOTTE 90: John Salmons scored 27 and Joakim Noah added a career-high 21 points and 16 rebounds for the host Bulls in their third successive victory.

• SACRAMENTO 103, UTAH 99: The Kings got 32 points and seven assists from Tyreke Evans in their first road victory.

• DALLAS 129, TORONTO 101: Dirk Nowitzki had 29 points and nine rebounds, and Josh Howard scored 16 in his season debut for the host Mavericks.

• L.A. CLIPPERS 113, MEMPHIS 110: Chris Kaman's 26 points led the host Clippers, who overcame 33 points by the Grizzlies' Rudy Gay.

• MILWAUKEE 102, NEW YORK 87: Andrew Bogut scored a season-high 22 points, and Bucks rookies Jodie Meeks and Brandon Jennings combined for 36 points, in Milwaukee.

• Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas had surgery on his left forearm Saturday. He is expected to miss four to six weeks.

• Memphis guard Allen Iverson returned to his home in Atlanta after receiving permission to leave the team to attend to personal business. The Grizzlies provided no details.
