Nash fuels Suns with 20 assists

• PHOENIX 123, GOLDEN STATE 101: Steve Nash had the sixth 20-assist game of his career Friday in a rout of the Warriors in the Suns' home opener. All five Phoenix starters scored in double figures. Leandro Barbosa scored 24 and Channing Frye added 22, including 6-for-7 on three-pointers.

• DALLAS 94, L.A. LAKERS 80: Forwards Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Marion combined for 39 points for the Mavericks, who won for the first time at Staples Center since March 2007.

• CHARLOTTE 102, NEW YORK 100 (2 OT): D.J. Augustin made two free throws with 2.5 seconds left in the second overtime for the host Bobcats, who recovered after blowing an 18-point, fourth-quarter lead.

• ATLANTA 100, WASHINGTON 89: Josh Smith had 20 points and reached a blocked shots milestone as the host Hawks beat the Wizards. Smith, 23, became the youngest player in NBA history with 900 blocks.

• BOSTON 118, CHICAGO 90: Paul Pierce scored 20 of his 22 points in the third quarter as the host Celtics routed the Bulls.

• NEW ORLEANS 97, SACRAMENTO 92: Chris Paul scored 31 points for the host Hornets. Emeka Okafor rejected Kevin Martin's tying three-point attempt in the final seconds.

• ORLANDO 95, NEW JERSEY 85: Former Nets star Vince Carter scored 16 points before suffering an ankle injury, but Dwight Howard's 20 points and 22 rebounds sparked the visiting Magic's victory.

• OKLAHOMA CITY 91, DETROIT 83: Kevin Durant scored 25 points, helping the Thunder record the franchise's first 2-0 start in five years.

• UTAH 111, L.A. CLIPPERS 98: Paul Millsap scored 17 of his 23 points after halftime, and the Jazz used a 15-0 run in the second half to beat the Clippers in Salt Lake City.

• MEMPHIS 115, TORONTO 107: Zach Randolph's 30 points led six Grizzlies in double figures at home.

• PHILADELPHIA 99, MILWAUKEE 86: Andre Iguodala scored 19 points for the host 76ers.

• MIAMI 96, INDIANA 83: Jermaine O'Neal had 22 points and 12 rebounds against his former team for the host Heat.
