High school: Hibbing's star, leading his team to the Class AA state title game in 1976.
Star player: A standout with the Gophers, averaging 15.2 points and 8.5 rebounds. He was selected in the first round in 1980 (third overall) by Boston, where he had a Hall of Fame playing career (1980 to '93) and won three NBA titles.
Wolves: Hired in 1993 as a special assistant and became basketball boss in '95. In 2005 he had the first of two stints as coach, going 19-12 after firing Flip Saunders and 20-43 in 2008-09 after Randy Wittman was fired and McHale was stripped of personnel duties.

I made this championship belt for the push to the '09 Division Title. Gladden offered to buy it; I wanted a trade for one of his rings. He declined.
