Reeling Suns next up for Wolves

Preview: The Wolves are coming off their second-biggest win of the season, a 23-point rout of Sacramento on Thursday. Now 2-1 in their five-game homestand, the Wolves are 8-0 at home vs. Western Conference foes. The Suns have lost five in a row and seven of eight. Indeed, they have gone just 4-12 since beating the Wolves on Nov. 11; their .300 winning percentage is third worst in the Western Conference.

Players to watch: Wolves C Karl-Anthony Towns is coming off a 30-point, 14-rebound, five-block, five-assist performance vs. Sacramento on Thursday. He became the second Wolves player in history (Kevin Garnett was first) and the ninth player in the league in the past decade to have a game with 30 or more points, 10 or more rebounds and five or more blocks and assists. F Andrew Wiggins broke out of a mini-slump, hitting nine of 17 shots for 22 points. Wiggins, who had made just two of 20 three-point attempts in the five games before Thursday, was 3-for-4 from behind the arc against Sacramento. G Jimmy Butler has scored 21 or more points in six of seven games. Suns G Troy Daniels came off the bench to score 32 points vs. Toronto on Wednesday. C Greg Monroe had 17 points and 11 rebounds vs. Toronto.

Numbers: The two teams have split two games this season. The Wolves have five consecutive home wins vs. Phoenix. The Wolves are 9-2 when holding opponents under 100 points.

Injuries: F Nemanja Bjelica (left midfoot sprain) is doubtful. Suns G Devin Booker (left adductor strain), G Brandon Wright (torn ACL), G Davon Reed (left knee surgery) and C Alan Williams (right knee surgery) are out. C Tyson Chandler, who missed the Suns' last game for personal reasons, is questionable.
