Yes, it's early. We're only 10 games into the season. But it's interesting that on Wednesday, when the Wolves travel to Oakland to play the Golden State Warriors, it will be a battle with two teams with identical records fighting for the second spot in the Western Conference.

When was the last time the Wolves and Warriors met when on even ground, record-wise?

Sunday's victory over a pretty good Charlotte team was Minnesota's fifth straight, the first time that's happened since 2009. If they can figure out a way to win Wednesday, the Wolves will have their first six-game winning streak since the 2003-04 team ended the regular season with nine straight. That was back when Kevin Garnett, Latrell Sprewell and Sam Cassell were making the cover of Sports Illustrated Magazine.

NBA standings

Here are some final thoughts on the game:

--You can color me convinced. Jeff Teague is a big upgrade at point guard. He was wonderful tonight, hitting four of five three-pointers, scoring 18 points with three assists. He had two three-pointers in a row, a pass to Jimmy Butler for another, and a third three of his own in a monster 21-4 second-quarter run that put the Wolves in control for good.

--It was another strong night for a Wolves bench that just keeps getting better. Both Gorgui Dieng and Jamal Crawford had 15 points off the bench, with Dieng adding 11 rebounds. The bench scored 37 points.

--Butler continues to be extremely efficient. He only scored 13 points – he has continually tried to get others involved early this season. But he hit four of six shots, both his three-point attempts and had six rebounds.

--Jamal Crawford registered his 51st career four-point play tonight, extending his own NBA record.

--The Wolves hit 10 three-pointers tonight, the fourth game in which they've made 10 or more.
