Anthony Brown, a free agent guard who has played in 40 NBA games with three different teams over the past two seasons, agreed to a two-way contract with the Timberwolves.
The deal was first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Brown, 24, was a second-round pick by the Lakers in 2015 out of Stanford. The 6-7 Brown played 29 games for Los Angeles as a rookie before being waived. He played nine games for New Orleans and two for Orlando last season.
Brown was an All-Star for Erie in the NBA D-League (now the G-League) last season. His contract with the Wolves means he likely will spend most of the season for their G-League team in Des Moines. Players on two-way deals are allowed to spend no more than 45 days with the NBA team.
