Preview: The 13-2 Warriors had won nine consecutive games entering Friday's game against the Lakers in Los Angeles. They had 30 or more assists in each of those nine games, including a franchise-record 47 in Wednesday's 149-106 home victory over the Lakers. Their only two losses came by 29 points at home in the season opener against San Antonio and 117-97 at the Lakers on Nov. 4. They were 5-1 at home and 8-1 on the road heading into Friday. … The Warriors won the season series 2-1 a year ago, but the Wolves' one victory came memorably 124-117 in overtime in April when the Warriors were aimed at the NBA record for regular-season victories, which they reached with 73.

Players to watch: The much-discussed free-agent signing of superstar Kevin Durant last summer has given the Warriors now not just two but three 20-plus-point scorers. Durant is averaging 27 ppg, Stephen Curry 26.4 and Klay Thompson 20.7. The last time an NBA team finished a season with three players averaging 20 or more points was, according to the Elias Sports Bureau, the 2007-08 Warriors with Baron Davis (21.8), Monta Ellis (20.2) and Stephen Jackson (20.1). … Wolves swingman Shabazz Muhammad scored a career-high 35 points and Andrew Wiggins scored nine of his 32 points in OT in that victory last April. … The Warriors' Draymond Green and the Wolves' Adreian Payne were teammates for two seasons at Michigan State.

Injuries: Warriors F Damian Jones is on a D League assignment.
