LAS VEGAS – Tyus Jones again is trying to show the Timberwolves what he is capable of.

The Apple Valley High School product had 26 points and 10 assists and the Wolves won their second consecutive NBA Summer League game in a row, beating Memphis 89-85 on Thursday.

Jones shot 9-for-15 from the floor and 7-for-9 from the free-throw line for the Wolves, who played without first-round draft pick Kris Dunn due to a concussion for the third game in a row. The Wolves advanced to the tournament quarterfinals Saturday.

In a game featured 13 ties and seven lead changes, Memphis went up three late in the game. Jones' three-pointer tied the score at 78-78, and Devin Thomas put the Wolves ahead for good at 83-82 with two free throws with 1:23 to go.

Toure' Murray made one free throw with 42.4 seconds left for an 84-82 Wolves lead. He missed his second, but Thomas tipped the ball off the Grizzlies' Shaq Goodwin to maintain possession for the Wolves. Jones then hit a floater for an 86-82 lead.

Coty Clarke added 15 points and Xavier Silas 12 for the Wolves. Thomas had six points and 10 rebounds.

Levi Randolph led Memphis with 26 points.
