Preview: The Bobcats' two-game winning streak -- at home over Philadelphia, at Indiana in overtime -- ended with Saturday's 89-84 home loss to the NBA champion Boston Celtics. Until beating the 76ers, the Bobcats (5-11) had lost four in a row under new head coach Larry Brown, who has led teams to 17 playoff appearances, eight 50-victory seasons, seven division titles, three conference championships and one title in 23 previous NBA seasons. But he has a tough job this time around, at age 68. ... The Wolves (4-11) are 3-3 in their past six games after Saturday's 106-97 home loss to Denver. ... Charlotte swept last season's two-game series, winning 109-89 at Target Center in March and 121-119 at home in April after the Wolves rallied from 18 points behind to get within two late.
Players to watch: Guard Jason Richardson led the Bobcats in scoring both games against the Wolves last season, averaging 30.5 points. He returned Friday in Indiana after missing seven games because of exploratory knee surgery and scored 21 points in 41 minutes against the Pacers and 22 in 30 minutes against the Celtics. ... Bobcats guard Raymond Felton scored a career-high 31 points in Friday's 115-108 overtime victory at Indiana.
Numbers: Wolves forward Al Jefferson scored a career-high 40 points the last time these two teams played, in April in Charlotte.
Injuries: Wolves guard Kevin Ollie (strained calf) has not played the past six games.
