Fans lined up for blocks to watch the Timberwolves rookies and a few returning stars in a scrimmage at Target Center. Here's what it looked and sounded like.

After fans waited in blocks-long lines in several skyways to get into Target Center, they were greeted by Karl-Anthony Towns before the scrimmage started.

Afterward, players talked to the Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda and others about the scene.

"Awesome," Towns said.

"It's different right now," said Andrew Wiggins, the 2015 NBA Rookie of the Year.
