Preview: How do you follow the arrival of the NBA's second-best team Monday, when Atlanta came to town? With the league-best Warriors coming in Wednesday, both teams' last game before an elongated All-Star break. Golden State is 41-9 after Monday's 89-84 victory at Philadelphia. The Warriors end a four-game Eastern trip Wednesday that started with a loss at Atlanta and victories over the Knicks and 76ers. The Warriors have won five of their past six games and 18 of their past 22. … Golden State has won the first two meetings between the teams this season, winning 102-86 at Target Center on Dec. 8 and 110-97 in Oakland two days after Christmas. The Warriors have won 16 of the past 19 games between the teams dating to 2009, and have won or split the season series each of the past 10 seasons. … The Warriors prepped for Wednesday's game by going bowling on a team outing in Minneapolis on Tuesday rather than hold a full practice at the end of a road trip.
Players to watch: The Warriors are 29-3 this season when they have their opening-night starting lineup of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut intact. All five are listed as probable starters Wednesday. … Thompson has passed Chris Mullin and Tim Hardaway on the franchise's career list for three-pointers made and needs four more to surpass Jason Richardson, who made 700 as a Warrior. … Thompson set a NBA record for most points in a quarter by scoring 37 against Sacramento on Jan. 23. He went 13-for-13 from the field, including 9-for-9 on threes in that quarter. … Curry is the first Warrior since Ricky Barry in 1976 to lead All-Star voting and the first since Chris Mullin (1991 and 1992) to be named a starter in consecutive All-Star games.
Injuries: Wolves F Robbie Hummel (broken hand) is out. The Warriors report no injuries.
