Preview: The Timberwolves are coming off a relatively successful 2-2 road trip, but that trip ended with a 105-80 loss at Charlotte on Monday in which the team shot only 36.2 percent. They ended their 15-game losing streak but have lost their past eight home games. Dallas, in fifth place in the Western Conference, has won two consecutive games and nine of 12.

Players to watch: Wolves rookie F Andrew Wiggins had a career-high 31 points at Denver on Saturday, but made only three of 14 shots Monday. Still, he has scored in double figures in 14 consecutive games. G Mo Williams is coming off a 3-for-13 performance at Charlotte. Mavs G Monta Ellis had his 11th game of 25 or more points this season at Memphis on Monday. F Dirk Nowitzki has scored 20 or more points in three of his past four games.

Numbers: Dallas is 10-4 since PG Rajon Rondo was acquired from Boston in December. Dallas has won 23 of the past 31 regular-season games between the teams

Injuries: Wolves G Ricky Rubio (ankle) and F Shabazz Muhammad (oblique) are out. G Kevin Martin (wrist) and C Nikola Pekovic (ankle) are questionable. The Mavericks report no injuries.
