The Wolves will play one of their home preseason games against Milwaukee Oct. 17 in Cedar Rapids. Ia.

That game will be played at the U.S. Cellular Center. Tickets go on sale Friday for a game that, if all goes well, will feature the Bucks' No. 2 overall pick, be it Joel Embiid, Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker or Dante Exum.

It'll be the Wolves' first return to Cedar Rapids since 2002.

It's the second game announced already for next season: The NBA last week announced the Wolves will return to Mexico City to play a Nov. 12 regular-season game against Houston, 11 months after their game against San Antonio was never played after smoke filled the arena before the game.

A couple other things, in addition to today's tidbit of news:

The Wolves held their second pre-draft workout at Target Center on Sunday, welcoming another group consisting mostly of second-round prospects or summer-league free agents. The one exception: Syracuse forward Jerami Grant.

Flip Saunders again basically led the workout. Afterward, he reacted with a mixture of bemusement and defiance when asked about Kevin Love's weekend visit to Boston, where the Wolves star went to a bar next to TD Bank Arena Friday night and basically boned up on Celtics history and attended Sunday's Red Sox game with his agent. He also briefly said hello to Celtics guard Rajon Rondo at the game.

Here's the story I wrote for today's paper, in case you missed the weekend's happenings.

The Wolves aren't scheduled for their next workouts until June 11, and then are set to have four consecutive days of them. Expect that next round to include prospects they'll consider their 13th overall pick in the June 26 draft.
